Curriculum
Economics is a social science concerned with understanding and predicting the choices people make regarding resource usage. Such a broad topic encompasses many aspects of our lives, some of which are directly applicable to business situations. Accordingly, we offer two distinctly different undergraduate degree programs in economics: a traditional, liberal arts major in Economics leading to a Bachelor of Arts, or an interdisciplinary business major in Business Economics leading to a Bachelor of Business Administration. In either case, the degree program provides a solid foundation in economic theory with an emphasis on the application of theory to a variety of areas, such as environmental economics, labor economics, managerial economics, monetary policy, banking, public finance, industrial organization and international economics.
