Emphases in Finance

There are three new emphases available in the Finance major leading to the BBA degree. These emphases begin with the 2010-2011 academic year.

Emphasis in Financial Planning (revised from 2009-2010):

FIN 357, 370, 373;

ACC 343;

FIN 361, 369, 415 and 448;

and three hours from FIN 358, 401, 410, 433, 458, 471, 474, 475, and 490.

Total hours = 27

Emphasis in Banking and Financial Services:

FIN 357, 370, 373;

FIN 401;

FIN 361, ECO 331;

six hours from ACC 331, ACC 343, FIN 448, FIN 471, FIN 490;

and three hours from FIN 358, 410, 433, 458, 474, and 475 (as well as any of those elective courses not taken above, including ACC 332, 333, with an overall maximum of six hours in ACC).

Total hours = 27

Emphasis in Investment Management:

FIN 357, 370, 373;

FIN 401;

FIN 410, FIN 458;

six hours from ACC 343, FIN 358, FIN 433, FIN 490;

and three hours from ECO 331, FIN 361, 369, 448, 471, 474 and 475 (as well as any of those elective courses not taken above, including ACC 331, 332, 333).

Total hours = 27
