Based on the goals and strategies adopted by the department, the effectiveness of the departmental programs will be assessed using the following methods.
- Data related to the Department of General Business will be extracted from that collected by the College of Business from its stakeholders and will be used to provide information about stakeholder perceptions of the department.
- Consistent with the policy of the College of Business, student evaluations of teaching will be administered and used as a basis for providing information which can be used in improving the delivery of programs and courses.
- Focus groups comprised of students currently enrolled in each of the business core courses taught within the department will be used to gather information about each of those courses.
- Exit interviews with a sample of graduating seniors majoring in general business will be conducted by the department chair.
An advisory council comprised of business persons working in fields related to the departmental programs and courses will be used to provide opinions and suggestions about the general business major and about aspects of departmental offerings in which they have expertise. |
