Graduate Teaching Assistant Positions are normally half-time (20 hours per week) and pay approximately $4,050 per long semester. In addition, a graduate assistant appointed at the 50% rate will be eligible for full medical insurance coverage by paying one-half of the premium for employee only coverage or a proportional rate for optional coverage, such as employee and family. New employees are eligible for medical insurance on the first of the month following a 90-day waiting period. New employees must file their acceptance memorandum with the Graduate Office in order for payment to be received. See the Office of Human Resources on or before the first day of employment. Applicants must be full-time graduate students in good standing within the College of Business.
