MGT 570 - MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS IN EMPLOYEE AND LABOR RELATIONS

Catalog Description: - Intensive study of employee-employer relationships in non-unionized and unionized settings; review of current legislation and its impact on human resource policies and practices.

Prerequisite: None

Course Objective: To increase student knowledge of theories and practices dealing with industrial relations.

Current Textbooks: Assigned readings that change each semester.

Evaluation: Student performance will be measured through multiple choice and/or essay exams, a collective bargaining simulation exercise, an arbitration simulation exercise, and an individual term paper. Other types of evaluation may be employed at the discretion of the professor.
