Catalog Description: - Formulation and implementation of strategy in the organization, emphasizing the integration of decisions in functional areas.

Prerequisites: Completion of all junior-level business foundation courses.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of the course, students should have an integrated comprehension of business and the strategic management process and be able to apply this knowledge.

Current Textbook: Harrison & St. John. Foundations in Strategic Management. Current edition. Cengage Publishing. (for use in Dr. Stetz and Dr. Scifres sections).

Dess & Lumpkin. Strategic Management. 3rd edition. McGraw Hill/Irwin Publishing). (for use in web sections)

A text appropriate to the simulation used by a particular instructor will be required as well for all sections.

Evaluation: Student performance will be measured through examinations, case analyses, and planning documents. Other types of evaluation mechanisms may be employed at the discretion of the professor. A significant portion of this course involves team activities.
